Leather | Rex multi-leash

The Rex multi-double leather leash is designed for those who want the same freedom as a multi-leash, even when walking two dogs.

Just like our Rex multi-leash, it can be worn around the waist, crossbody, or used as a traditional handle. The difference is that the handle part is connected to two dog links, which makes the walk smoother and reduces the need for several separate leashes.

Smart function – less tangling

The handle part is 1.5 meters long and equipped with a Twistlock hook with a built-in swivel. This allows the dog links to move freely and reduces the risk of the leashes tangling when the dogs switch sides.

Choose a link length between 1-1.5m, giving a total length of 2.5-3m.

Premium leather from Tärnsjö Garveri

The leash is made from dark brown leather from Tärnsjö Garveri – a Swedish tannery with a long tradition of producing high-quality leather.

The leather has a semi-aniline dyed surface with a lightly greased feel that allows the material's natural structure to show through. Before the leash is sent to you, we treat it to provide good basic protection and a nice finish.

We have chosen a slightly thinner leather, about 2–2.5 mm thick and 16 mm wide. The result is a light, flexible, and pliable leash that fits comfortably in the hand and ages with a beautiful patina.

Leather is a living natural material, and each leash has its own expression. Therefore, natural marks, small variations in structure, and color shifts may occur. These are not defects but part of the leather's character and a sign that the material comes from nature.

For us, it's part of the charm. Each Rex leash carries its own story and also develops a unique patina the more it is used.

Good to know

Leather is a living natural material and differs from synthetic materials like Hexa.

When new, the leash will feel relatively stiff. With use, it gradually softens and molds to how you use it.

Since we have chosen a thinner leather, the leash may also stretch slightly over time, especially if used with dogs that pull a lot and for longer periods. This is a natural property of leather and one of the reasons we recommend the product to those looking for a premium leash with a focus on feel, aesthetics, and everyday use rather than maximum tensile strength.

Hooks and craftsmanship

The leash comes with a twistlock in the handle, and the other hooks are bgb hooks from Orsa. Unlike our Hexa leashes, the leather leashes are handmade in a single studio in Stockholm. We receive them finished, and therefore the hooks cannot be changed afterwards. Please contact us at info@tassmark.se to pre-order with one of our other hooks.

Care

• Wipe clean with a lightly damp cloth as needed.
• Allow the leash to dry at room temperature if it gets wet.
• Apply leather balm as needed to maintain suppleness and protection.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and store the leash dry when not in use.
• The leash has a slightly stiffer feel when new and will soften with use.
• Over time, the leather will develop a beautiful and personal patina.
• As the leather is relatively thin, it may stretch slightly if used for a long time by dogs that pull a lot.
